What does “T-Shaped” mean?

Employers will be looking to hire individuals who are more “T-shaped” (as opposed to “I-shaped”). T-shaped individuals are those who not only have the depth in their profession but also project a set of broad skills that enable them to adapt to a wide variety of work situations. Broad skills are also increasingly recognised as important to an organisation’s growth and sustainability.
